Now, for a bit of 'disclaimer' stuff:

• First of all, use any information on here at your own risk.  Not that anything on this site should damage your computer or PSX, but it may cause brain damage as cited in laboratory tests on flies.  I take no responsibility for your actions, for those I might encourage, or those of your flies.

• Making so-called 'backups' of your PlayStation games is completely legal.  HOWEVER, the law states that to make a backup, you must OWN the ORIGINAL SOFTWARE.  This means you have BOUGHT the game and you have the ORIGINAL CD in your possession.  All the information I give on this site is ONLY meant to be used by those persons who OWN their games and are looking for a way to  keep little Johnny from ruining a $1,500.00 collection of games in a matter of minutes with a jar of peanut butter and a good knife.  If you do not OWN and contain IN YOUR POSESSION the game you are looking to backup, you MAY NOT use the information on this site, for I WILL NOT condoan illegal activities.  For each infraction of copyright infringment, you are subject to a $100,000.00 fine.  Trasnslate as you need to for your country of residence.

• Ok.  Now for what I really want to say.   Please note that I am completely open to suggestions here.  I do not take full credit for any of the information on this FAQ page -- the vast majority of it was taken from various sites around the internet like the PSX Copy Discussion Forum, for one.    I have spent quite some time trying to sort out fact from fiction, but I am by no means an expert in this area... just an avid fan with a lot of experience.  So if you find anything on this site that needs revision, please e-mail me and let me know about it.  I also try to keep up with the latest and greatest in technology, but again, I can't possibly keep up with all of it... so as before,  if you see something I need to add, just let me know.
